Forget T-shirts and baggy sweatpants, stylish workout clothes are moving out of the gym to lunch with friends or even on the job. Yoga pants have been called the new jeans and hoodies in animal prints are now fashionable, too.
Athletic gear icons like Reebok, Adidas, Nike and now Calvin Klein feature workout wear that offers performance and style. Nike’s women’s workout clothing business alone has added $1 billion in revenue since fiscal 2010 to reach $4 billion in fiscal 2013, and sales of workout gear are growing faster than sales of everyday clothing.
