Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
The Coterie Theatre, located in Crown Center in Kansas City, MO, will re-stage its popular musical production of the television classic. Nov. 8-Dec. 31. All the classic characters join Rudolph to celebrate everyone’s unique gifts, a great message during the holidays and every day of the year.
The Nutcracker
Steps Dance Studio will be hosting their 16th season of ‘The Nutcracker’ at School of the Osage, Cummings Auditorium, in Osage Beach, Missouri. Two days only, Saturday, Nov. 26 at 6pm and Sunday Nov. 27 at 2pm.

Old Kinderhook’s Christmas Village
This family-friendly event runs every weekend from Nov. 26 – Dec. 25 at Old Kinderhook in Osage Beach. Stop by the Christmas Village Welcome Center, located between the Pro Shop and the Hotel, to review a schedule of all the activities, including many free ones such as a photo with Santa, movies in the hotel, Gingerbread house making and live entertainment by figure skaters. The ice skating rink will be open to the public at a cost of $10 a session
($3 skate rental per person) and guests can skate with Santa and Elves for no extra cost.
Take a Carriage Ride through the hills wrapped in a blanket every week on Friday and Saturday. Cost is $15 per person.
There’s “Breakfast with Santa” on Sundays in The Trophy Room restaurant. Order off the menu and Santa will be visiting tables and kids can snap a selfie with Santa.All activities are open to the public and anyone can participate. Kansas City
The holiday season in Kansas City begins with the traditional Plaza Lights Lighting Ceremony, held the day before Thanksgiving in the Country Club Plaza entertainment district. The lights continue to illuminate 15 city blocks daily, from 5 p.m. to 3 a.m., through Jan. 17, 2017. In addition, shops in the district are offering extended hours during the holidays.
Branson
Celebrate an Old Time Christmas at Silver Dollar City from Nov. 7–Dec. 30. The festival includes 5 million lights, 1,000 decorated Christmas trees, two live shows and a parade.
