The Central Missouri Women’s Connection (CMWC) sponsored a Friendship Tea Sunday, October 5 at The Club of Old Hawthorn in Columbia, Missouri. The tea attracted distinguished women who reside in Columbia and the Jefferson City area.

The ladies of CMWC are individual achievers who have made a difference in their communities through collaboration with the Boys and Girls Club of the Capital City, the Samaritan Center, and the Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri.

The continued focus of the organization is to promote and engage in educational, civic and intercultural activities in order to enrich the lives of its members and the larger communities of Columbia and Jefferson City, while ensuring the cultural and economic survival of African Americans and persons of African ancestry.

Membership is currently open and information can be obtained by contacting Benecia Williams 573.680.1231 or Carolyn Allen 573.356.7171.
